If you really want to find bin Laden, you have the technology. So why don't you?
USA has the most advanced military technology on earth (and if not they can always ask assistance from Japan or Europe). Now if I'm the President of United States, I won't send thousands of my people to Afghanistan, I won't send a single weapon. I would contact Google Earth and we would employ thousands of people each with a computer trying to locate bin Laden. It's quite easy, and even if it's hard, at least you would have spared the lives of many Americans, Afghanis, and many other nationalities. It may take a year or two, but it will be accomplished. (So if the attack was in 2001, by 2004 we would have captured the s.o.b. -given that he actually responsible for it, for many conspiracies theory ring a bell, bin Laden didn't say he's responsible first, only then after a few days. Now why would he do that?-)
The same thing with Iraq. You want to get the oil and make a mess of Saddam Hussein. Why not doing it in the Oval Office, you could simply launch hundreds of long range missiles from US base in Turkey and mission accomplished.
Instead you send more troops (and lots of them are stop-loss), more weapons, and not getting anything. What is it that you really trying to accomplish?
I really don't buy your explanations. You have HALF of the world military power and you can't find a bunch of small terrorists? Really? Really?
Either you have an agenda we all still waiting to be revealed or you are really just want to spend 1 trillion dollars on make believe wars...
