  • 2-2-2017 The computer first performs the Power On Self Test, abbreviated POST. Then it beeps. Usually an error will generate some goofy beep pattern, but nobody knows what the pattern means, so you are just guessing. I suggest you inspect for dust in the CPU connector or the RAM sockets. Be sure all the connectors are seated properly. The last time I had trouble, the little square plug next to the CPU was not plugged in.
