Yea, but don't you ever have a moment where you begin to suspect it's all crap and you're voluntarily insane...but then in fear, you rub yourself with cheap plastic jewelry or something to magically feel better? -
Mr PantsFellDown
In my experience the "love" talk is always crap, and the reality of religious people is they are highly judgmental and they exclude people over it. I see no love in that at all. Nor do I see compassion of any kind in a god who'd create billions of faulty souls and then burn them FOREVER. And you can deny that, but you'd just be doing exactly what has caused people to leave Christianity's churches empty now. (editing "God's sacred word" or ignoring it, selectively, to make it say what you WANT it to say, instead of what it (God) DOES SAY. In my church (when I was a child I was brought there every Sunday, yes) we were taught that this behavior I describe is evil. ...that it's Satan corrupting gods words, and leading people to make their own rules instead of obeying HIM. .........Look, its easy, just stop denying in such huge ridiculous leaps, that it's all crap and have a lager. There ya go. Got your brain back, and your life. yay. *hands you a cookie*

If I were editing the big book of mental illnesses, religious belief would be high on the list of disorders one can suffer from. Not joking. Not opinion. Grow up, get real. It's as embarrassing to the smart people in life, as if you were still writing letters to Santa Claus as an adult. And there is too much religious talk on this forum btw. It's spammy. You don't see atheist folks starting threads, for the purpose of trash talking your thing do you?

(Don't take Mr Floppy too seriously. It used to be LAW that counterpoint be offered when opinion is presented as "fact". (it did, in the US yup). But You can talk about your stuff. Here's a cookie *hands*

Open and fluid as these senses can appear to be sensible wrapped in a belief system. All I know and trust is that unconditional love exists and does Not require a condition from me to receive it or to give it.
