What are your thoughts on letting babies (2+ months) watch the TV screen?

Why, do they like it. I wouldn't. It doesn't sound safe.

The should be taught to pull their own weight and stare at a computer screen all day while performing data input.

my 3 month old loves the tv its because of the lights if you dont sit him in front of the tv all day then i dont see a problem in it.

well tv is a sort of strange thing for them they could sit there all day without bothering you

not a problem. the people who say TV and videogames are bad are just narrowminded. my son who watches far more TV than the antiTVists say is even tollerable. their claims are that it destroys imagination and creativity are proven completely unfounded by my son who invented a seasaw catipult while I was busy unpacking. he is highly independant, affectionate and inteligent. by 20 months he knew 1-10 and the alphabet (I credit http://www.ebuyphilippines.com/images/products/detail/Vtech_ToteNGoLaptop.jpg ). he can now (not quite 4) type a few names and words. he can recognise dozens, maybe hundreds of words in type
