  • I don't think it is weird. Just be very careful to not get your shampoo or body wash in her eyes as it could very irritating. When I have to bathe one of my cats (which is rare) I go into the shower naked too. If they start clawing up on my clothes to get out, could be very dangerous. Knowing they will splash and get me wet anyway makes me get naked in there.
  • I don't think so. I have a 16 pound cat that likes to jump in with me too. Once and awhile, my little dog George will jump in too. It does make it a lot easier. Lather, lift and rinse. Repeat if necessary. Ha ha ha!!
  • No, it's not strange at all, a dogs a man's best friend. You're not showering with the dog everyday, you're just putting her in when she needs be cleaned. And if she enjoys it then she's getting a treat! Honestly, pet owners need to more like you, the type of people that give their animal lots of loving!
  • Not at all, but your lucky, my 38# soft-coated wheaton terrier doesn't like it much, and we have sorta a hard time in a small shower stall. But we manage occasionally.
  • To some. What other questionable practices do you have :)
  • It sounds fun and practical. Some dogs really love water. I have newfoundlands and it's hard to keep them OUT of the water. As long as the water isn't too hot and the soap doesn't get in their eyes, I think it's a great idea, though not one I'd do before going someplace nice as toweling off a wet dog might make ME need another shower lol!
  • Yea, that's kinda weird - sorry.
  • Its weird
  • I do not think it is weird at all .. but then I love animals. When my guy comes over on the weekends he takes a shower and puts our parrot on the shower perch and they shower together.. if someone else thinks it is weird.. I think it is adoreable. So.. I guess it is my kinda weird.
  • I'm afraid that is at least somewhat strange.
  • I think it's sweet I wish I still had a puppy to do that with :(
  • no way...its 7 pounds....i mean 70 pounds would be a tight fit but 7 is just practical
  • I don't think it's weird at all. That's how my mom bathed our little pom-tzu (pomeranian, shih tzu mix). My mom would do her own showering and then grap the pup and wash him with baby shampoo. It was SO much easier than trying to wash the dog in the sink or bath tub!
  • Tell her you're "being green". If you took separate shower/bath, you would probably use about twice as much water. ;-)
  • i think its cute :)
  • Nope! I've done that too, but the house I'm in now has too small a bathtub. : (
  • 7 pounds is very small dog. You could wash her in the kitch sink or the laundry room, but if she's not freaking out being inclosed, more power to you.
  • Not weird. I haven't done it with my 10lb dog but I've thought about it. I take her to get groomed/haircut/bathed every other month though, so I don't need to. But if she ever got all dirty, I'd take her in shower. Or even bathtub. She'd probably be less scared with me there with her.
