Evolutionary biologists would call this instinctive behavior, and I would have to agree.
-
It would be instinctive behaviour - perhaps developed from some earlier behaviour in a related ancestor that is now extinct. They have memories - initial impressions remaining in their brain, prompting them to recreate their birthplace when the time comes to lay their own eggs. Probably not every single mosquito of the species does it. Some may not. Their eggs don't survive, so that "non-boat-making" trait does not continue beyond that one time.
-
By that token, how did the human species propagate before porn? Instinct.
-
It's part of their genetic programming. Trial and error over millions of generations has selected the breed of mosquito that does that over all others. The mosquitos that don't have a lower survival rate. Natural selection. +5

And you put this in atheism….. ? To attempt to make a point that it must have been God that taught them? I would think God would have more important things on his agenda than teaching mosquitos how to make a special boat! But then again, maybe not!

How did you know to take a crap if nobody taught you first? OH...GAWD taught you to do it.. You went to gawd class? I'm impressed! (Not really)
