  • I'm sure many theological scholars have, it would only make sense to see what the 'enemy' was saying and form a strategy to dismiss it. I have studied many religious texts myself, in order to come to my conclusions on what I feel is the correct theory. Religion has too many loopholes for me to take it seriously, as they are mostly based on superstition and word of mouth stories. That isn't to say Darwin's theory is without some errors, but that is what science is about. Scientists actively try and disprove their own theories and discoveries, and when they exhaust all possibilities, they will put it into the scientific field for others to try and repeat the method. Religions do not do this, once doctrine is accepted, there is no serious attempt to question it and is only really adapted in the face of evidence that cannot be disputed (IE, the Earth isn't flat, the Earth isn't the centre of the universe etc..)
