No. It would be acceptable to make your grievance public or (even better) to try and make things right. It would be acceptable to be wary of the people that wronged you, too, but if you 'betray your country' you can still be punished for any crime that you commit.

No. Because 99 times out of a hundred, it's not the country who betrayed you, it's a nameless and 'blameless' bureaucrat who betrayed you.

No. Because 99% of the time, you think you have been betrayed when you actually haven't. If that kind of thing happened, we'd have full scale rebellions every time daylight savings comes, or someone brings up gay marriage. People are stupid when it comes to issues they are passionate about.

There would be no USA if it weren't for those that betrayed their country. However,I still believe that the good ole USA is the best country in the world. We have fed more hungry, helped more homeless and freed more opressed people than all other countries put together. And when push cones to shove I still believe that we will stand strong as one voice to All countries that may threaten our liberties.
