What most conservatives don't get is that Obama is very smart. So far only 25% of the stimulus money has been spent. With the elections next year, he can now spend the other 75% and goose the economy.

That is the 64 trillion dollar question. There are historic similarities with what happened in 1936. FDRs swing to the left frightened business and halted the recovery from the Depression. Granted the economic system must be overhauled and made more fair for average people. But the vindictiveness of the Obama administration towards business may be slowing the economic recovery. Scapegoating business leaders may be satisfying, but it is unproductive. Change the rules to encourage long-term business thinking rather than tomorrows stock price, but the past is past. Move forward. +4

Obama's motto.."Spread the wealth"..Well, in order to spread the wealth, you have to find the wealth and then take the wealth. The more wealth he takes from the wealthy, the less inclined they are to cause wealth. they will continue to move offshore because of over taxing and regulations. They will not hire, or reinvest for expansion. He is writing checks he cant possibly cover, selling debt, causing the dollar to continue to lose value. You all thought Bush was bad, You ain't seen nothin yet!!!

It will make it worse because there will be rebellion in the nation against mandatory health care. Obama is ignoring the US Constitution. He says it is in the way of progress. The healthcare reform is just another way to stimulate the economy. People will still get money for nothing and they will get it monthly.

    Make it worsse:

1- The stimulus package $ disappeared into thin air and never did any good.

2- The health care plan is designed to kill off old people faster and turn doctors into beurocrats.

Despite every effort on behalf of the Republicans to turn America into a feudal state, Obama will bring us out of the self imposed Republican tyranny.

This is not just up to Obama. This is the house and the senate and many more opinions as to how to get us out of this mess. Make no mistake, it will not be easy nor will it be pain free.
We have been heading for this point for a long time and not until it gets this bad do people stop and see that something is very wrong.
What we need is for our government and its people to agree on something, I don't see that happening. We cannot continue fighting each other and come up with a solution.
The animal kingdom knows this. They work together and create mountains..we fight and argue and create chaos.

Well, look at it this way: Who do you want to handle the situation? A new guy who isn't married to the rich? Or the same bung holes who got the mess started? Obama's effort will NO DOUBT be better than W's or bin Cheney's. The neo-cons proved they can't handle the administrative branch. I'll go with Obama and his ilk for another 25-30 years.

It matters not that the puppets of corporations act like they are doing the the peoples business. The rich will continue to get richer and the poor poorer. That's what happens in a monetary based economy.

It doesn't really matter who is in office anymore because neither party can rely on their own party to back the needs of the nation. Instead elected officials get most of their campaign financing from outside their parties, outside their districts paid by so called "special interest" or to put it more bluntly, corporations who stand to gain or lose depending on how congressman/woman X votes.
If you vote for congressman X you can rest assured he or she will vote whichever way the dollars ring for their re-election campaign and what you want is completely irrelevant anymore.
Look at Lieberman.. He left the democratic party AFTER he was VP candidate NOT because of any belief he holds, but because of the money that keeps his lame ass in office and the SAME holds true of the schmoe in PA who jumped ship from the republicans..
Our political needs and/or wants have long been since sold off to the highest corporate bidders and unless WE the people change it things will remain exactly the same.. Walmart or whatever corporation holds ALL the cards in the game.
