  • Christianity or not, You'll just be brainwashed with something else; most probably naturalism. All information is brainwashing in a way. The media, pop culture, worldviews, we just tend to only call religion brainwashing.
  • There probably aren't any/many. Most of us just have to figure it out by ourselves. I've been through what you're going through, and I know that it sucks. Try to find some other people around you who have escaped, and talk to them. It's important that you know that you are not alone.
  • if you are for real about what you say, then i would say you have already made the first big step realising and trusting your instincts in what is wrong and rite for you.one of the ezyst forms of brainwashing is conditioning,it will be reversed in time, some people seek medical advise so then the doc gives you pills eg antidepresants, personaly i would steer clear frm meds,i have mostley seen people get worse!good luck stay focused.
  • Sounds like you need a group for the weak-minded, or your problems go far beyond religion. If you don't want to follow that religion anymore, don't, and move on with your life. Most everyone does it without any kind of support group. On the other hand, you might just need some couch time related to deep seated personal issues.
  • Tahuti, I was wondering, have you ever known the Lord?

  • “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.” (James 4:7, 8)
  • I see many have jumped in, and that is fine. According to the Bible, there is only one God, Isaiah 43:10, Isaiah 44:6, Isaiah 46:9 and many other verses. Since Christianity was the religion that was mentioned, I would be talking about the one and only true God, the God of the Bible. You see, if you knew the Lord, you would be admitting the Bible is true. If you didn’t know the Lord, than you never were a Christian, and therefore are judging something you know nothing about. John 17:3 says that eternal life comes from knowing the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. There are many beliefs out there, and they could all be wrong. One thing is sure, they can’t all be right. Hebrews 9:27 says we die only once, then comes judgment. Take the little test below and see how you would do if that verse is true. Look at the "mirror" of the Ten Commandments. Ever lied? Stolen? Lusted (adultery of the heart - Matt. 5:27-28) or had sex out of marriage? Guilty or innocent on Judgment Day? Heaven or Hell? ("All liars will have their part in the lake of fire" - Rev. 21:8). Jesus took your punishment on the Cross, proving God’s love. He defeated death. Repent and trust Him - God will forgive you and give you everlasting life. Read the Bible daily, obey it - John 14:21. God will never let you down. I realized I had broken all of God's Commandments, and when I stood before God to be judged, I would be guilty. A Good Judge can't just let a criminal go, and the penalty for my Law breaking was hell. Jesus said that if I would repent, not just say I’m sorry, but confess and forsake my sins, and be born again by putting my faith in His perfect sacrifice on the cross, I could spend eternity in heaven. There isn’t any other religion that has a way for me to have my fine paid for my Law breaking. I broke God’s Law, and Jesus paid my fine with His own life on the cross if I would do what He said I must. There is no other way for the God of the universe to allow me into heaven, He would have to send me to hell. As far as me believing in fairy tales, yes I certainly do. Evolution is a fairy tale for grownups. There are enough scientific facts in the Bible to prove it is true. Prophecies prove the Bible is true, just read what was written approx. 2000 years ago about our world today, 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and 2 Peter 3:1-7. Now even though archeologist have tried to prove the Bible false, they are proving the Bible to be true. There is no other book like the Bible anywhere, and there never will be. Search for Truth, and you will find it. Want to believe a lie, there are plenty of those going around so all you have to do is pick the one that sounds good to you. Remember this one thing, belief does not change reality. I can step off of a ten story building, because I don’t believe in gravity. It won’t matter what I believe, that law will destroy me no matter what I believe. I broke God’s Law, and Jesus paid my fine with His own life on the cross if I would do what He said I must. There is no other way for the God of the universe to allow me into heaven, He would have to send me to hell. My fine has been paid, that's why it is called the Gospel, Good News! May God continue to bless each of you, because if He didn’t, you couldn’t take one more breath of air.
  • Unless you went to Jesus camp you aren't brainwashed. You can quit the religion anytime you feel its lost meaning to you.
