  • Yes it can.I have been in a state of depression before where I had no interest in anyone or anything. It doesn't mean you don't love them anymore,it just means you have your own problems to deal with.
  • Depression makes you lose interest in everything, also your s/o. When you are held back by negative emotions/thoughts you are not able to reach those feelings of being in love. So it is not that strange if you are not interested.
  • Yes.Depression makes you loose interested in what the word EVERYTHING covers. Depression makes you loose interest in your own self and its not something you plan to do or nothing like that..it just happens as a response and many many other ugly things come along with that thats why medical attention is needed.

  • Yes it can do that. Depression can do a lot of bad things. And I know one of the side effects of some of the anti depressants is the dulling of feelings. +5
  • Yes most definitely, and not just S/O but it can make a person feel that way about their family too, or maybe even that the S/O and family are their worst enemies. You lose interest in pretty much everyone and everything. It can be a very lonely time. If you are on the "receiving end" of this, I can't really tell you what to do, or how to be, to help you. Everyone has different needs. It must be hard to be on the other end, but if you want to see this through, you just have to be prepared to listen, to realise that this isn't really him (he probably doesn't feel like he is really him), and try to help him. You will have to be resilient, because you may get hurt in the process.
  • Yes. Depression can make you lose interest in anything or everything.
