Help answer this question below.
Probably not. Most of the people it would be used on seem to be immune to shame or humiliation.
Are you asking about the same people who brag to their buddies in the bars, go onto national tv and write books about their exploits? If they have no shame, how could you make them feel shame? +5
Some people are too stupid to be humiliated by anything.
I want all child molesters after the first offense to have Child Molester tatooed across their rotten faces in bold black letters.
more as a turn on these days
well lets see, wound their pride, or wound their body?
i think it would work in a great many cases especially on lesser offenses, if you can get the lesson across in theses cases i think you would have fewer major offenses to worry about at a later time.
Would you like to be publicly humiliated??
No.
I'm not throwing the first stone or the first tomato.

A common saying these days among some of the shall we say underclass is they want to be famous or infamous. You would just be giving them what they want. I say lock them away where no one can see them. That would be the worst punishment.

Even if they weren't shamed and humiliated, there could be a certain level of satisfaction drawn from it. Especially if next of kin were given the whip and told to go to town on a murderer.
