You mean their 'boat', right? Well, it is an old tradition...going back to the old sailing ship days. The ship took on a personality of its own to the crew. We know the ancient Mycenaean's named their ships from the epic of the Argosy. Jason's ship was the "Argo".

It sounds better than "Damnit"when you run out of gas on the water.The last boat I had ,I never got around to painting a name on it,but I called it "Deathtrap".I did have a boat named after me before.It was quite a compliment ;)
