I think it's true and based on a deep-seated survival instinct.

True. ----------------------------------------------------- judge 1. To form an OPINION OR ESTIMATION of after careful consideration . opinion 1. A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof ----------------------------------------------------- If You don't have an opinion on something it makes You unable to decide on the way of acting in a situation or towards a person. . The opinion doesn't have to be final, it may change due to new information, but it's still there. This is what is called "first impression". For example: You see a person acting aggressive in a few situations, so You get an opinion that the person is aggressive. Of course it might be coincidence, because for some reason You might be meeting the person only in situations that provoke His anger extremely and never in neutral ones when He might be the calmest person on Earth. Still, until You know that, You form an opinion that the person is aggressive, because it's necessary for knowing how to act when that person is around. . All people ARE judgemental. Just that the culture misunderstood the "You shouldn't judge people", as in: "forming a final judgement that is unchangeable despite all later proofs that the person has changed or that you didn't know all about the person; i.e. let Your first impression, not be Your last one.") And now there are people all over everyone trying to be more saint than a saint and claiming the psychologically impossible, which is not having ANY KIND of opinion on someone. . This is all bullshit.
