Using Latex Paints
If you are worried about wear and tear on your furniture, it may be tempting to use oil-based exterior paint instead of water-based latex paint. When choosing a sheen for your wood furniture paint, it is best to go with a semi gloss or satin. Both semi gloss and satin paints allow for easy cleaning and look great.
Use a Primer
Picking the right paint for wood furniture is important. Using a primer for your painting job is essential. Using a latex primer will help the paint to stick to your furniture, and will block nasty stains from ruining a good paint job.
