If you are planning to have sex - this is not the way to do it. You'll find most pills say on the instructions that they can take up to 2-4 weeks to work if you change from a different type of pill. Also, because the pill probably uses a different type or amount of hormone, your body may not adjust straight away and you may end up getting your period anyway. It's safer for both you and your friend if you just get a new prescription.
