  • it's not ABers, it's people   respond in a comment asking, but they generally ignore.   if they keep it up, after being asked, downgrade, and comment that you are downgrading for the caps lock   make it explicit that if they are attempting to communicate with people, all they are doing is sending a message that's a loud yell, and people are annoyed. they may have important information, informative opinions--they may be interesting and you may want to listen to them above everyone else. but you can't when all you get is a blur. they'll either respond, or they won't. if they get enough comments, if it's explained, if they keep it up and they know that they are getting downgraded for caps, they might change   those are your options really. best case scenario, they respond when you comment nicely the first time and remember. worst case? well, what's the worse that could happen? it's not like they can bold their text too, if they get pissed off in response.
  • SOME PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE -- sorry. Some people don't realize that it's considered poor etiquette, and that it's like shouting. If you say, "Your caps lock is stuck," they might get the message.
  • don't be nice about it. most of those people aren't very smart. just tell them to stop shouting & feel good about it.
