depends - if they were in jail for 5 years for assaulting my child or me, then HECK NO!!! if they hurt someone else, probably not. if it were a "victimless crime", i certainly have the capacity to wait for 5 years for my true love. it sure would stink if i waited these 5 years only to have my "love" marry the judge ...

I would wait if the person was innocent but I wouldn't just passively wait I would work to prove his innocence and gain his release. If he was guilty...no I likely wouldn't wait unless there was some extenuating circumstance.

Honestly it depends on what they went for. If I was in love with them and they went for something I could forgive yes I would wait.
