I'm watching an episode of Bewitched in which the trick or treaters also collect money for UNICEF. Do trick or treaters collect for charity still (if ever)?

I haven't seen anyone do that in years. But I remember actually collecting money for Unicef myself when I was a kid. Hey, you know, that would be a good way for charities to make money...why don't they do that any more?

Some still collect for UNICEF, but I think most people have stopped because most people won't give you money anymore. My university, as well as others, go around asking for donations for the foodbank.
