  • From the number of spoiled products I've brought home, I KNOW that big chains most certainly do.
  • I think is depends on where you are and which chain. The cheaper big chains go through stuff quickly, because of the price. Where as the more expensive ones, especially in smaller/poor communities, have a lot of out-dated product. The mom and pop stores have the same issue. They are often more expensive, so while they often have less of a product, they sell less and get stuck with out-dated products. We purchased a can of beans that had gone bad, from our local little store.
