Why do people put pictures of themselves as their avatar? Does anyone really care what other AB members look like?

There is a question "what do you look like" with a sh#t load of answers. I guess that say's quite a few care what others look like.

I guess they figure it's their avatar, they can do what they want with it. Besides.....as we've seen LATELY, most of those pictures are NOT of actual ABers, despite some claims to the contrary. +5
