I'm sure they conveniently miss that morsel of information. On top of that, he distributed it to his troops to keep them fighting for days on end. Even if they do know it, they either don't care or use it themselves...probably.

I don't think that something like that would matter to them one way or the other. If you buy into their philosophy, then your reasoning skills lack much of what you need to make a quality decision in the first place.
