My Bad Company disc got ruined when i bumped my consule...will i have to start from scratch or will my game progress stil be there if i play a new disc?

All of your progress will still be there as long as you have save it on a hard drive or memory card. Also in most games "If not all Im not sure" even the downloadable content will be free that you have already bought if you have deleted it from your memory. Example Rock Band: If i bought a song and then deleted it for space, My disc then got scratched. So i go buy a new one, I can go to the marketplace and download it again for free.

Data can not be burnt to a disk like that, the save data is on your harddrive. You 360 can't tell the difference between two different disks.
