  • The thing to remember about Islam is there really are no black or white / must or mustn't issues. There are things that you should do for the good of your soul, and things you should avoid. Some of these things are more important than others, for example if you dont pray 5 times a day, its fair enough.... so long as you try to. Just like the Christian god, it makes no difference to its authority, power, greatness if you do or not.
  • Prayer is not for the benefit of Allah, it's for the benefit of the pray-er.
  • It is their custom and part of the way they practice their religion. You may question the why,but should not judge them and put down their practice because you dislike them. This thinking only separates people and brings the world further apart when the opposite should be happening.
  • There is not one hoarse voice or purple face. Lie one you are telling. That is your schtick though to just make up mindless commentary. Next, people do this prayer as a discipline. Something you cannot fathom, I am sure. It keeps the mind conscious of the Almighty. Allah is great and when people extend energy to realizing that, they also become strong, sensible and filled with the right kind of love and duty. You are an empty shallow result of not understanding prayer and love.
  • nobody's going hoarse praying to allah! purple in the face is something i've never before seen or heard. i doubt if the monotheistic god prayed to be muslims, christians, and jews would be any bit less great if believers did not engage in prayer or rituals delineated within each religion. orthodox judiasm calls for rituals multiple times throughout the day. the original idea was, among other things, to bring one closer to their sense of god.
  • hmmm I think you are thinking cheering your winning home town team... hoarse in the voice and purple in the face?!!! lol.... I believe I read somewhere you pray for your own peace and health not for God's... but some people just do it because they want something from God...
