What are the denominations or castes in Islam? (I heard about Shia, Sunni and something like mappila too) and what is the difference? (Is prophet same for all?)

Other than Sunni-Wahabi, Shi'te, Agakhani, Suleimani, Ismaili Khoja, Dawoodi Bohra, and Ain-e-Akbari, there are 100s of sub-castes in Islam. * Within Wahabis, the Qureish boast lineage from Prophet, but it is the other way round. Qureish were the Pagan Priest caste of Mecca in which Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was born. According to Hadith, he died without male heir and left no non-bastard progeny. * * If you see the 1871 census of British India, you would note that Muslims have taken all the castes with them when they were forced to convert from Hinduism. Today Muslims in India worship pictures of Kaba and countless dead Peers with rose garlands just like their Hindu counterpart worship pictures of their countless gods. Human nature remains the same.
