That should tell you how utterly lazy these people are and how they would rather cheat than do the work themselves even if it entails the same amount of time, work and they actually stand to learn something in the process. It's all about that something for nothing mentality

I do not know how many out of 10 but AB is flooded nightly with them.

If they want help doing THEIR homework, I am fine with it. I will work to help them. I will actually bend over backwards to HELP them but I refuse to do their homework.

    Most do not want HELP.

Just last night we had one on here, asking questions that were easily googlable. I googled them, got links, posted them, said that the answer is right there, and it took me about a minute on google to find them.

The asker DR'ed me on all of them.

I have been told that if they wanted to do the work they would, and to f*ck off. I have been DRed and told to f*ck off when I post this link:

I asked that question specifically to HELP with homework.

Conversely, I have helped some students with homework here who really WANT help. I get tons of thanks. A few of them have taken it to email with me and there are 3 major essays on the Holocaust out there with my assistance, one from an ABer... that I know of. There is an essay about psychological anthropology with my help along with many about the Romani and sociology.

There are also some old, long comment threads with me helping students write a proper essay. The ends of these are huge "thankyous."

That is why I still bother.

I do not provide the answer or do the work. I tell THEM how to do it.

Yes it is but it's much easier to cheat and have someone give them the answers that they can just copy down so they don't have to actually "work" and find it themselves..that is what 99% of the HW questions are..not help but "GIVE ME ANSWERS". Sadly, they don't care that come test time they will fail or that in the future it will hurt them. We have people on here asking "anatomy" questions for careers like nursing, and medicine. that scares the HE** out of me to know in 10 years they will be treating patients and won't even know what an radius or ulna is.

Probably about 3 or 4, depending on the time of day. It seems to go in spurts (probably when they realize it is almost time for bed and they have procrastinated too long!)
