  • Get her a puppy before she gets the wolf so she grows attached to the puppy.
  • I have 5 dogs one being half wolf & let me tell you i had mine since he was a puppy & its nothing to take lightly. Mine is a handful & thats only part wolf. His loyalty & only being half is all that keeps his temper in check at times.
  • I still believe that even though people might think they can tame the wild, it will always be wild... +++
  • Dont think its a bad idea. A wolf in the end can be tamed just like a dog. If u think about it, we own dogs like rottweilers and german shepherds and they can be just as wild and aggressive as a wolf , if not more.
  • A pure wolf i would say would not be a good idea. I had a half shepard and half wolf which was a great dog. But, still had a little wild in him. :)
  • It is illegal to own a wild animal unless she has a special license. The animal will just be miserable being force to be domesticated.
  • So, some years back in russia, some scientist guys got together and wondered what would happen if they bred domesticated foxes. They got a bunch of foxes, and they started breeding the pups who responded best to being handled and trained and played with by humans. And, oddly, as the kits became more and more domestic with each generation, they also looked... less foxy. more doggy. don't have that fox smell. Have un-fox-like markings like blazes and spots. (seriously, google russian domestic fox, I'm not making this up). Point? domesticated animals and wild animals are very different beasts. It took 50 years of breeding an animal that reaches sexual maturity at a year old before you had domestic foxes. Don't listen to people who say "well we tamed wolves a bajillion years ago so we can tame them now." "Taming" at that point probably involved raising it from a cub, yes... but also having it sleep outside and hunt mammoths with you. Different ballgame. If nothing else will get through to her, there are probably local/state laws against having wolf/wolf hybrid dogs with no license, and they don't give those licenses to people tho think it'll just be like an unruly dog.
