What can the UN do about the human rights violations going on in places such as the African tribes in Darfur and the Roma people in Kosovo?

The UN is running the Roma deathcamps in Kosovo: http://proudromani.blogspot.com/2009/01/un-deathcamps-for-roma-children.html I had someone tell me that that is an emotional blog and, basically, I cannot substantiate my statement. He chose to not actually watch the videos before sounding off. Wrong. Watch the videos. The first two are a set filmed in the deathcamps themselves. The next three are a dry report by a fellow who is fighting for us. The others are miscellaneous other than the three I linked to at the top which are a current report of it. I do not know if the UN will care about the abuses of the African tribes in Darfur but I think the fact that the UN is running the deathcamps means the Roma are screwed.

The UN is completely and totally impotent now and is a waist of tax payer money.

What purpose does the UN really serve, anyway. They did absolutely nothing ..... until it was past too late ..... about the genocide in Rwanda. The UN is a big waste of time, money, and ambassadorial privileges for foreign stooges.
