  • I would tie a string tightly around any game or puzzle I was selling. In this way people buying the object can be better assured that no parts have "walked off" during the sale. Or, seal them in plastic wrap. You already know your friend was rude. Ask them politely to pick up their mess. "I'm afraid I simply don't have the time to pick up after you, running the sale and all. Please be a dear." If they don't, ask them politely to leave.
  • I would ask them to leave.
  • If I see the person even start to open it, I wouldn't take any chances thinking if I'm accusing, but just tell him/her -in a playful voice- "Excuse me, please don't drop anything down, I would hate to have a bigger mess than it already is... Continue if you would just like to rummage 'inside' the box"
  • I would not be pleased ... I suppose you could have secured the box so it couldn't be opened.... But then someone would complain they couldn't look at it before they buy it. That's a hard call ... I think it might help to just keep things like that close to where you're sitting so you can "supervise" them.
