Why are some clothes expensive? Is it where they are made? Material it is made of? Or just simply the brand?

hi dibley,its all about the brand think jimmy choo,versace big bucks its actually shocking and even the kids today want brand names,anyhow i saw something on tv that in china fakes are now the in thing now how about that.lol

It isn't just the name brand Dibley. It is the quality of the material and the way the garment is put together. My mother was an excellent seamstress and she used to work for samplemakers...the designer would design the dress/gown, the patternmaker would make the pattern and the samplemaker (my mom and others like her) would cut and sew the garment. Much if not all of the work was done by hand. Some garments were lined...some were beaded (all done my hand)...some were made of elegant silks. There is a vast difference among clothes...you pay for quality, not just hype! :)
