In general terms, sick animals act similar to sick humans. That is, they move slowly, often in a manner indicating they are not well. If an animal appears to act healthy and it is killed quickly and the meat is harvested quickly and stored in a freezer or other cool, dry place, the meat will be no different from domesticated animal meat (such as cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chicken, etc.). And you need to prepare "domestic"meat properly to avoid possible dangers. You generally treat wild meat the same as domestic meat when cooking. And yes, sufficient heat will kill parasites and other dangerous things in any raw meat.
