Do you think that employers are using this bad economy to get workers for less pay then they previously offered?

yep...and so the viscious cycle of rich getting richer and poor getting poorer continues...you are very right! many companies are making huge cutbacks, and many of those cutbacks arent even neccesary! when big business saw what they could pull off, they ran with it, and found that it was a good excuse to make a huge profit. So now, workers get paid less, overtime is nearly abollished, and the companies are making a killing by getting more work done for less because people are desperate. It really is sick isnt it?

yes, I know people who have been told that they either take a cut in pay or find another job. These are people who have been with the same job 10 years or longer. The employers are really screwing people over now.
