Not a sin.

You're a person, not a machine. You would be less than human if you didn't appreciate beautiful women, so of course it isn't a sin.

Being tempted is not a sin; giving into the temptation is. When I was serving a mission, there was a certain saying: if you don't look once, you're not a man; if you look twice, you're not a missionary.

The physical act of adultery is a worse sin.Cause your not just hurting yourself, but others are involved.Jesus said if you look upon a woman with lust, you have committed adultery with her in your heart. So that is sin,and hurts you communion with God.

No it ain't. If someone says otherwise; they're wrong.

no, it's completely natural to feel sexual urges toward other women. it's in our nature to want to procreate as much as possible. i don't think we were built to be monogamous & instead have slowly slipped into monogamy being the norm. remember Abraham has many wives & God did not see that as a sin in the Bible. this is just my point of view as a humble athiest.

The writer James gives us clear direction regarding this issue, stating: "Happy is the man that keeps on enduring trial, because on becoming approved he will receive the crown of life, which Jehovah promised to those who continue loving him. When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death." Unfortunately, as imperfect human beings there are times when we are going to have some unusual thoughts, there is nothing unnatural (in a sense) about that. However, how you respond is what makes the key difference. When such ideas come to mind, you must take drastic action to rid yourself of them (Mat 16:21-23). If you dwell on such ideas, then when the opportunity presents itself, you will most ceartainly commit a wrong act (Mat 5:27-30). Imagine if Joseph had been dwelling on committing wrong acts with Potifar's wife, would he have had the fortitude to resist her, "day after day"? Not likely, and the same is true in your case (Gen 39:1-14). "Flee from fornication!" in all its forms (1 Cor 6:18).

I thought one of your commandments was "Don't covet your neighbor's wife etc..." It is a ridiculous command and impossible to follow but what would a religion be without it's impossible rules? I wouldn't sweat it, as long as you aren't cheating, no real law is broken.

The bible says in Matthew 5;27,28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. sexual urges only come by looking at a woman first. if you don,t look you won't have urges.
