Call the police. And a lawyer. You'll get your money or your necklace soon enough. Unless it was stolen to begin with. :D

If you sold it to her, do you have a written agreement? Did she state on paper she would pay in payments? If so you could take her to small claims court. If you have no agreement written, it is your word against hers. She can say she never bought it. Good Luck

This really is not a criminal issue. And hiring a lawyer will most likely cost you more than the value of the necklace. This woman has has breached an implied contract. The most efficient means for you to get your money will be for you to first negotiate with her, and if that does not work, take her to small claims court. If it comes to small claims court, you should have as much evidence as possible. Perhaps if you approach her and act as if you still believe that she is going to pay you, you can also be gathering evidence for later use in court. For instance, you can bring a friend with you as a witness who can later testify that the women admitted to having the necklace and owing you money.

Hopefully you have a receipt for the necklace. If you do, go to the courthouse and file a claim in small claims court, depending on the value of the necklace. In the future, don't take payments from anyone unless you have it in writing to prevent something like this from happening again.
