No. My sister and I went to a hypnotist once (for fun) to lose weight. She chickened out. I was not hypnotizable.

Well I had an extreme fear of dentist....to the point which I contemplated suicide over going for a cleaning!! Anyhoo, I turned to a very reputable hypnotist and I believed he could help me. Have you ever been in a dead stare and when you come around, you have no recollection of your surroundings? Well that was me. I closed my eyes, listened to his very soothing voice and was off in a dead stare. Someone's phone was ringing down the hall and I could hear it. I heard a car door shut. But all I wanted to listen to was his voice. After it was done, he explained that since we didn't get to the root of my fears, I would be less afraid but not cured. He was right....it took another 10 years (and a fabulous dentist) to finally be free of fear.
