I always heard that people generally talk better of someone once they've died. Anyway, that wouldn't make sense. Ted always absorbed his victims via osmosis. I don't see what a car has to do with that.

No that would show to much respect for him! He should be buried under the main road in his town. That way all the people he ran over can do the same to him! Just like this POS in my home town! "MOUNTAIN" TOM CLARK Hanged September 4, 1872, this notorious outlaw gang leader who boasted that no one would ever run over Tom Clark lies buried near the center of Tennessee Street where now all who pass by do run over him. In 1872 Clark, who terrorized helpless citizens, during the Civil War, confessed to at least nineteen murders, including a child and was hanged with two companions. Although graves were already dug in a nearby field, outraged townspeople interred Clark beneath Tennessee Street so he would forever be run over.

Love it! But don't think the bloated SOB would fit. Great story for you: 25 years ago, somewhat drunk and vile as ever, he crashed a dinner for a trade association group - all obviously respectable "cloth coat Republican" executives with their wives - but tried to pick up my beautiful (and obviously very happily and faithfully married) aunt anyway, with the line, "Excuse me, I'm Senator Kennedy and my car will be leaving for my hotel shortly and I'd like you to be in it." She replied, "Well Senator ... that depends ... How many BRIDGES are there between here and your hotel room?" Nouveau-Riche Shanty-Irish as ever, he yelled out, "You fucking bitch! You can go to Hell!" and stumbled out of the room.

This is how we speak of someone who spent his life in public service? He was no saint, but perhaps that is why he worked so hard for so many other Americans.
