Anything ever done is within the range of what is normal. If you are asking if it is common no it is not and only acceptable in certain situations and certain cultures.

It's not very common, and believe me not widely accepted as O-know has already said. But if you feel that way, go ahead and go for it. My boyfriend, brace yourself, is thirty years older than I, and I couldn't imagine my life without him. We get funny looks, but we ignore the comments and get on with our lives. He's the love of my life, and I honestly don't care what society thinks about it.

I find older men hot! I don't think it is the norm though, because it grosses out most other girls my age I know.

A lot of younger women are attracted to older men. They just don't feel comfortable with the typical juvenile antics of guys their own age. They may be seeking stability and predictability. Someone they can count on.

Sure it is. A lot of men in their 20's and even early 30's aren't ready for serious relationships. Women shouldn't have to wait for these Peter Pan types to grow up. Evolutionarily speaking, women who selected older mates had better chances of survival because age is often correlated with higher social status and more resources that could be allocated towards a wife and her offspring. With that said, humans are more than their evolutionary instincts, so if you do choose an older man, select for good personality traits and maturity, not for money. A strong sense of responsibility is the most important quality that a potential mate can have, and older men are more likely to possess it.

It's normal enough. It used to be that women mostly married established (read older and financially stable) men. . And as a male in his mid-forties I commend you on your good sense and fine taste.
