  • Proof of their existence abounds. It would be foolish to face that evidence and still say they did not exist.
  • I think they really existed, why would God put bones deep into the earth? Think he'd have better things to do.
  • I believe the Dinosaurs most certainly existed. (btw, what's with the discrimination? I mean I'm a christian- but seriously)
  • I really dont know
  • Yes I do belive the dinosaurs existed. I'm not a literal creationist. The current line now from the literal creationsist btw is that the dinosaurs where in the garden of eden with Adam and Eve.
  • I don't believe that God plays guessing games. That's why I don't buy the theory that fossils were 'planted' by God to test humanity's faith.
  • What an odd question. God created dinosaurs, and then they died out and became fossils in some cases. As far as I'm aware, this would be the natural course of things, yes.
  • Yeah they existed, I think the question is aimed towards those Christians who believe that the creative days were literal 24 hour periods. Since the Earth existed long before Man was created, and God was preparing the Earth for man, there is no definition as to how long each Creative Day was, it is very plausible that Dinosaurs existed during the time the Earth was being prepared for man. I don't believe in Cave-men.
  • If you were going to write a book. you would put what you thought was important in it right? Dinosaurs wern't that important to be put in the bible because its the instructions for life Yeah i believe that they existed
  • I believe that they really existed.
  • dinosaurs where real. makes no sense to me to "plant them".
  • I am no christian nor a believer in any God (i do have a tendency to answer questions that say women only or christians only though) but how can you get constructive answers from one source?. Anyway if you really believe that dinosaurs never existed then that is your choice and yours alone. But I think that this is a very narrow mionded view on things and after all we still have crocodiles etc which have been around since this period
  • yes, i believe dinosaurs really existed. No i dont believe God placed them there to then later be discovered and confuse us. but in terms of do i think he created them and were they here? yes i do. im not sure why, but im sure he has his reasons.
  • I'm not a Christian, and I don't feel this question can be properly answered only by Christians. Yes, the dinosaurs existed. No, God didn't plant them there. Scientific Carbon dating shows the approximate time periods they are from, and evolutionary biology shows the steps that life took on the planet to reach it's present state.
  • A lot of Christians, maybe most, do believe the earth is billions of years old rather than thousands. The ones who think its thousands of years old will say (in my experience) that man and dinosaurs lived at the same time.
  • Do you christians realize just how crazy you sound when you try to rationalize the irrational, reason the unreasonable, try to make a logical statement with out logic?
  • God is fucking with us
  • they were real
  • I don't believe that the dinosaurs existed. I know they existed...
  • Yes, dinosaurs existed. They roamed the earth and were in the oceans and the skies. Limestone rock formations, and even older, marble, all are made up of fossils and critters that formed rocks. There is a long rock history of life long before man.
  • Why do you ask a question and then specify who is allowed to answer it? How can you honestly say that you want information when you are picking what information you will accept? Sad.
  • Yes I believe they existed. God's day and are's are not necessarily the same.
  • yes, maybe they were left there after the Flood of Noah .God created them when he created all animals, did not name them , but then have you ever read of a kangaroo or giraffe in the bible.? Maybe, in Job 40:15-24 and 41:1-34, God was talking about them when he described behemoth and leviathan, they sound like huge reptiles that once roamed the earth.
  • I'm going to answer this question as a Doubting Thomas product of a Christian family. The notion that God went about the earth hiding clues in a palaeontological treasure hunt is too ludicrous to contemplate. I agree absolutely with what Highlander has already said - a day to God could be millennia to mankind, so the presence of dinosaurs has nothing to do with whether God exists. The Big Bang Theory has nothing to do with whether God exists - the Big Bang could have been God's way of creating the universe.
  • Of course they existed. the difference between Christians and evolutionists rests on the interpretation of the fossils... eg scientists are still trying to reconcile the dinosaur and human footprints found together at Laetoli AFrica. Many believe they are homo sapiens footprints. The only reason that the discoverer, Mary Leakey, believes they are not is because she believes that h. sapiens was not around when dinosaurs were...but that is a circular argument...what if they were? what if the footprints are h.sapiens. They certainly resemble h sapiens prints....then the whole development of man is up in the air scientifically.
  • Yes, they really existed. God is a creator of incredible imagination (angels, man, stars, planets, microbes and the platypus) so why should anyone be surprised that He also made dinosaurs?
  • Well, I might get docked points for this, but here's my spin on the thing: :) We all know of that dude named Lucifer, the angel who fell and became Satan? Well, we also know that he had some major power and jurisdiction before he fell. He was the "angel of light" (a nickname which is found within Bible scripture), and he obviously had some control over something. My guess is, Lucifer had control over the earth. And when he tried to raise his own throne over God's, I think that's where all these strange creatures came from. The Dinosaurs, the half-human ape people; they were all creations that Lucifer had made. But he never could quite duplicate God's ultimate creation: Humankind. So therefore, once Lucifer was punished and he fell to Hell (that rhymes!) all of his experiments fell with him, and they died. Thus, the "earth was void." There's actually a few older manuscripts of the bible which I think read, "And the earth became void." (I'd have to ask my dad about that, though. Just to be sure.) Then when God began the six days of creation, all of Lucifer's failed attempts to be better than God were buried beneath the Earth. So, I dunno. Maybe it's a matter of opinion. But that's my two cents worth. :)
  • Yes the fossil record shows it, they are amazing. From a Christian/ young earth creationist perspective. What happened was before the Flood there was a water canopy over the Earth which made Ideal living place where UV rays and other things wouldn't penetrate. Things would live longer and grow faster, hence dinosaurs. But when the Flood happened, the water canopy was wiped out all animals taken on the ark and released afterwards no longer had that kind of lifespan, plus many were probably hunted down. But it is very possible a lot of animals are descendants are from dinosuars.
  • im not christian im pagan but i think every1 no mater what religion should have a say! ive often asked christians this question my self and to be honest i get the same answers evry time, that god planted them to fool people or they were actually around at the time of jesus! erm.. not dissing anyone, but this does seem rather crazy to me! what with evolution and carbon dating and all the evidence we have for dinosaurs i dont understand how intelligent people could believe this! i will not go into the bible and all the unbelievable stuff in that because i do not want to offend people. i just wish people would see what is rite under there noses! strange stuff!
  • The Bible and the dinosaurs are not mutually exclusive. Their are indeterminate time periods in Genesis that could have been eons. Those exist within the first two chapters of Genesis. Before Adams body was placed on earth, And when it was without form and void. After his body was placed on earth there could have been any amount of time until the fall. This opens a great deal of time to life outside of the garden of Eden. Including dinosaurs.
