Catholics: How many times are you allowed to receive the body and blood of Christ? I have heard before that you can only get it a certain amount of times. And I have also heard you can receive it as many times as you want.

As Catholics, we are encouraged to receive the Eucharist as often as possible but limited to once a day for our entire lives. In special circumstances you may receive the Eucharist more then once a day.

i heard the maximum for a normal person (ie not in a state of dying) is twice daily. no more than that. however, one can attend as many Masses as they wish each day.
