  • They're volunteers.
  • LOL. They get 10 more minutes free audience with Jehovah for each door, and 20 for each conversion.
  • They believe in what they are doing and I see no reason to be disrespectful or rude.
  • Jesus taught his followers "You received free, give free.” (Matthew 10:8 Sharing the good news of God's Kingdom is an important way of showing that you are a disciple of Jesus Christ. In the Bible, Jesus is called "the faithful and true witness." When on earth he preached, saying: "The kingdom of the heavens has drawn near," and he sent out his disciples to do the same. (Revelation 3:14; Matthew 4:17; 10:7) Later, Jesus commanded his followers: "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, . . . teaching them." He also foretold that before the end, "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations."—Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20.
  • Nope, all done out of love of God and neighbor.
  • Jesus set the pattern for the preaching work,,Jesus himself set the example as to how it was to be done. He went to places where he could find people. In the first century, people regularly gathered in the synagogues to hear the Scriptures read. Jesus seized opportunities to preach to them there, not merely in one city but in cities and villages throughout Galilee and Judea. (Matt. 4:23; Luke 4:43, 44; John 18:20) Even more often, the Gospel records show, he preached by the seashore, on the mountainside, along the road, in villages, and in the homes of those who welcomed him. Wherever he found people, he talked about God’s purpose for humankind. (Luke 5:3; 6:17-49; 7:36-50; 9:11, 57-62; 10:38-42; John 4:4-26, 39-42) And when he sent out his disciples, he instructed them to go to the homes of people to search out deserving ones and to witness to them about the Kingdom of God.—Matt. 10:7, 11-13. (Acts 20:20) while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house.
  • God's purpose is to bring back to the earth the conditions he first created ,, peace no sickness no death , no pain, where man will live forever on the earth . (Psalm 37:9-11) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. 10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. (Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it. ......................................................... (Revelation 21:3-4) With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” ....................................................... Jesus gave an indication when this would happen . (Matthew 24:3-14) While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?” 4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. 9 “Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. ...................................................... (2 Timothy 3:1-5) But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.
  • When they do start getting some decent (Monetary rewards) count me in!! Just kidding...They are quite the strange people (If you don't know them) but I think they'd do a lot better to stay the course in their beliefs and not change them every 5-7 years or so. I knew one lady in my church who did track them and she showed me a lot of stuff which shows they change their "Conditions"/rules and other things about every 5 years or so. NO, I'm am NOT going to get into he child molesting bit..Too easy.
  • HOW do you feel about people who call at your home uninvited? Do you feel that this is a freedom you would rather see preserved although it may cause you some inconvenience at times? Or do you feel that you would like to see laws passed forbidding anyone from calling without a prior invitation? True, the passing of such laws would get rid of unwanted callers. But enforcing all the consequences of such a ban makes it plain that it would not be desirable. For instance, a neighbor may call, uninvited, to borrow sugar or coffee; but then, you might be the one who wants to borrow these items. A driver who has had a flat tire or an accident may want to use your phone; or you could be the one who needs the help. Perhaps someone in the neighborhood wants assistance because of an illness, or because an expectant mother’s baby is arriving sooner than anticipated; or it may be your illness, your baby coming earlier than expected and you have to make the uninvited call. What, too, of unexpected guests, such as relatives or old friends you had not invited, but who were traveling through and dropped in for a few moments? Have you never done that? Then there are salesmen who offer goods that you may want, saving you a trip to the store. Others offer services in this way, or take up collections, perhaps of used clothing, newspapers or money for charities. You might even get an uninvited caller telling you your house is on fire! So you can see that when one person calls on another, although uninvited, there are advantages as well as disadvantages. And while you may think primarily of the disadvantages when others call at your door, put yourself in their position and remember that you may have a similar need sometime. That does put the matter in a different light, does it not?
  • TV is where the money is. (1Tim 6:3-10) Giving free and house to house is the Bibllical example.(Mt 10:8; Acts 8:20; Acts 5:42; Acts 20:20) People who got the knock cannot say they were not given a chance to learn about God and Jesus. (John 17:3) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Tim%206:3-10;Mt%2010:8;Acts%208:20;Acts%205:42;Acts%2020:20&version=NASB;KJV;NCV;ESV;HCSB /./ http://bible.cc/john/17-3.htm
  • Jesus' teachings taught his followers {not just a few} to do the teaching or preaching work. (Matthew 10:5,7, Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 6: see verse 7; Luke 10:1.) Did Jesus and his disciples receive an income by doing the work of an evangelizer? Not at all, and neither do we today. Like the person before me said, we do this voluntarily without any monetary rewards or points. We do this because it is out of Love for Jehovah God, Jesus, and for mankind worldwide. Our mission is to tell everyone about the Kingdom Of God (Matthew 24:14) just as Jesus and his disciples did in the first century. (Luke 4:43; Matthew 6:9,10) We are trying to let everyone who wants to learn that the only solution to this worlds' problems is by means of Gods' Kingdom under Jesus' rule. 1John 5:19; Matthew 10:11-14; Acts 20:20. If you'd like more questions answered from Gods' Word, just ask when we come to your door. See also John 14:23,24.
  • Nope, they do it all for free, for God, for what I call "God points". While I'm not a believer of thier particular interpretation of Christianity, I do respect how they go out in thier nicest clothes, spending thier time, mileage, and periodicals for the good of strangers. After a year of accepting the periodicals, (They occasionally have interesting articles if you dig through the propaganda.). I'm wondering if I should slip-em a buck or two for the magazines.
  • No, actually they get paid by the mile. They have little odometers in their shoes that keep track of how far they walked to spread the word and they get $1.52 a mile.
