i can shag on any carpet , so it doesnt matter to me . ;-)

you can buy anytype of carpet you wish they still make shag carpet they have not stopped producing it.

I do like shag...the basement in a house I used to live in was a yellow/orange/red shag carpet, it was really cool.

Nope. I'm getting rid of the Berber for hardwood/laminate - thanks. Cleaner, easier maintenance and I can still use rugs as needed. I understand shag is still readily available for cheap.

Yeah, I never bought into the whole Berber thing. It's too rough on babies knees and whatnot. Granted, you've gotta vacuum that shag a bunch but it's just kinder and gentler (ok fine, I might be stuck in the 70's or 80's or whenever it was cool to love shag) :)

That's funny you should ask that Yarnlady; I recently noticed the local Home Depot had shag carpeting again! I loved that when I was a kid. I always wished we had it in our house!
