No, there is already too much waiting at the DMV. Also, drug tests are easy to beat. Moreover, some people do not drive drunk or high even if they do drink or smoke pot sometimes. Furthermore, the drug that is easiest to detect, THC, is also the one which causes the least relative harm.

No. If you prohibit every weed smoker from working or driving, you just X'd out half of the population from contributing to society.

Fully one-quarter of the population is driving unlicensed as it is. I don't think we need any more hurdles or govt interference, esp in an area as sensitive as drug testing.
