  • Possibly. What i would do is do an online search of her name. Try to find her on popular websites like facebook and myspace. Even google her name and check your local online county criminal records. Try to get as much info as you can and one way or another you will find out if she's for real or a fake.
  • GO WITH YOU GUT INSTINCT! Your first thoughts are probably the right ones! What does your gut tell ya? There is your answer. . I would make sure the dog is IN MY ARMS OR BY MY SIDE BEFORE I give her the $300. Or NO DEAL! +5
  • Possibly just be careful
  • Sounds kinda fishy.....$300 for cancer treatment medical bills....kind of low for that kind of treatment, but like NUNYA said...go with your gut instinct.
  • SCAM!! $300 could not put a dent on medical bills !
  • $300.00 is not going to pay for cancer treatment. If she was in desperate need for this treatment she would have presented the dog right away. Has she asked for the money before you see or recieve the dog? If so, you really should report this and see what the law enforcement personel say what you should do.
  • I bout a Beagle many, many, many years ago and trust me, I had to pay a lot more than $300
  • You say she is delaying you meeting the dog. Is she also trying to get you to pay her upfront? I ask because if she isn't asking you for the money before you meet the dog but is instead dragging her feet on the whole deal, it could be that she is reluctant to have to sell her pet. If she is campaigning for you to pay her without you seeing the dog, I'd say something smells fishy. And it's not the kibble.
  • Sounds like it to me. Trust your instincts.
  • Maybe she is having second thoughts about giving up her dog? Also, I wonder what kind of cancer treatment can be covered with $300? I hope she has a lot of dogs. She might actually have a dog for sale, but it sounds like she is lying about the reason for selling it. If you do buy it, make sure you get vaid AKC papers with it, and check them out first. The dog might not be worth $300 and the cancer story is just to inflate the price.
  • It doesn't sound like a whole lotta right to me... There are many, many adoptable dogs available who need good homes desperately... There are Beagle Rescue groups who have lots of Beagles if this is the specific breed you want. (they can be a fair amount of work, and many have house training challenges too! ~ which is why Rescue groups have plenty of them to begin with!) I'd say seek else where for your ideal companion animal.
  • I don't get why she needs to meet a dog she is trying to sell?????? Probably a scam.
