  • I believe that diagnosis would exempt you from military service.
  • A personality Disorder could exempt you from military service. However, It all depends what your medical record shows. It doesn't hurt to try to enlist. Let your local recruiter know the circumstances and see if you can get in. A lot of things can be waivered.
  • If you have been diagnosed prior to enlisting it would exempt you (dont try to lie about medical stuff like that because they WILL figure it out) but if you have never been diagnosed i would recomend the air force (because thats where I serve, and its what I know about) They will often help you with your problems. A recruiter will tell you (just about anything really) that the military is like one big family and they are right (on that front at least) the navy also has an extensive psycological medicine program, but I dont know very much about it.
