Yes, so long as it was in your financing agreement.
I'm assuming if the Finance company is making that claim, there might be something in the fine print of your contract about that. Don't know why else they'd feel they had a right to raise the issue. Have you looked over your contract to see if there's anything written in there to that effect?

You're reading I purchased my daughter a car for graduation. Although its financed by me, She has her own insurance. Now my finance company is claiming that I am in default because the car isn't in my possession. Can they tell me who I can & can't let drive my car?
