That depends on where you go. If you fly from Europe into the States (which is what I do occasionally), you will be asked for the purpose of your trip (business or vacation, if business, what kind of business), how long you intend to stay, where you plan to stay in the States, whether you want to make a trip to different locations, etc. I always get along fine. It is best to stay courteous and friendly, and answer the questions straightforward and clear.
