You have to sell yourself. If your personality is status quo, then do something about it. Remember you have to work with people. if you are not a people person, learn to be one. Keep a smile on your face. Most important is to tell the truth, but tell them what you think they want to hear.

Try not to think of them as silly questions. There may or may not be a method to their maddness but you've got to make it past them. Look them in the eyes and be truthful - without laughing.

work on ur interview skills the q's are set up to determine what type of person you are not how good your skills are I work for a multi billion $ Co the right type of person in some cases will get a job driving a forklift over someone who has 30 yrs exp. I can train a monkey to drive one, but it is hard to find someone who is reliable the Q's asked in an interview, look for ppl who fit into our Co's LEAN mfg enviorment as opposed to someone with tons of exp.

Stop seeing the questions as "silly" Assimilate yourself to the nonsence phony pretensious crap that society wants you to in order to be a "good machine" and walk the right way round the center stone. Midnight Express.

Gotta agree with Phoenix here = your choice of the word "silly" may be the heart of the matter right there! ;-)

May I ask your approximate age? The reason I ask, it is more difficult for those on either end of the working age range to get a new job. In other words, if you are very young with no experience, or on the other hand if you are nearing retirement age, if may be more difficult than if you are in the middle, with some experience but still energetic and vibrant. +5 on your question.

If you want to get hired, sometimes you have to just "play the interview game". Their questions might sound silly to you, but you can't show it. They're not always so interested in what you say, but how you say it. I think if you go into the interviews with a more positive attitude, it will help you tremendously. Good Luck.
