I'm getting my tongue pierced in May. Does it hurts more then getting your nose pierced? And how much would it cost (approximately)?

Ive had mine pierced for 10 yrs and it didnt hurt at all. You go for it and drink alot of milkshakes it helps keep the swelling down also Ibuprofin no more than 800mg in a 4-6hr period that stuff messes with your liver if you take to much but combine that and the milkshakes and I was completely healed in 3 days. i've never pierced my nose but from people who i've talked to with both, the nose is worse. getting my tongue pierced hurt both times but not too bad at all. (the first time it was off center so i had it redone.) you can expect a lot of swelling. eat A LOT of ice. use half strength listerine any time anything that isn't water (or ice) goes into your mouth for the first week. and do whatever else your piercer tells you. i would think you're looking at about $60.

yanno how piercers draw a dot where they are going to pierce? well make sure YOU see the dot. i had my friend look at mine and she said it was in the perfect place. . .but when it was done and i looked at it. . .it was too far back. it hurt me a LOT because it was in the meatiest part of my tongue. so make sure you know where it is going. i have my nose pierced and my tongue hurt 10x more than that.

I got my tongue pierced 2 days ago. I can safely say that as a worrier i expected it to be horrific. It hurt a lot less than my belly button piercing and from chatting with some guys who are piercers they say the nose is generally very painful to have pierced - much more than tongue (as long as you have it through the centre). It cost me £30 (which would be about $55), which included the piercing and bar, and when i go back in 3 weeks they will put in a new bar for me free of charge. I'm already eating solid foods, but meals are very slow atm. I would advise you to have a few good meals before hand - making sure you eat no more than a couple hours before the piercing; and have a lots of ice ready cos your tongue will swell.

Pain depends on the person. I personally did not feel it, but my friend cried when she had hers pierced. And price differs from different shops. Mine was approximately $100, but you can find them for cheaper.

i had my tongue pierced 3 weeks ago..and my nose piercing hurt alot more...my tongue was done quite a bit back so it wldnt bash my teeth or rub on gums,,,its the fattier part..it pintched as it went through the top and thats it,,my tongue didnt swell that much and after 3 days was eating normally and talking fine,,i havent had any probs so far and have had the bar changed twice..its the best thing ive done for years,,for those who say it hurts have obviosly gone to the wrong piercer,,as mine said it should Never hurt,,and he was right...good luck hope u have it done

tongue does not hurt the mouthwash hurts more the nose would probably less or the same pain i got mine done for 60 dollars

Okay, my answer is going to be no fun at all, but "how much would it cost" is a tricky question. From other answers, you know it falls in the range of about $55 - $100+ (US). But that doesn't include antibiotics for if it gets infected, or the cost of having the eventual damage to your teeth repaired. You need to consider these costs too.

i've never had my nose piecred but the tounge does hurt. it swells a lot and its hard to eat. eat a lot of ice and wash your mouth out with listerine all the time...i used to carry a little one around with me all the time. i got mine done in nyc and it only cost me $27. the pain went away in about 3-4 days. good luck =]

I have my tongue pierced and nose. LOL! Well, it depends on the person. I have a high tolerance for pain so it didn't really bother me. It does swell though, which I think it probably the worst part ;P But I did have a few friends take theirs out because it hurt too much. [Which is dumb.] I mean just keep in mind, it is a needle going through a muscle. So it's not going to tickle, the good thing is the pain doesn't last too long. It heals very quickly. For me I paid 55 bucks I believe.

I just had my tongue pierced earlyer to day. And it didnt really that much, i had my lebret done a week ago and that hurt way more, every1 was telling me that getting your tongue pierced hurts like hell, and that when they had theres done they cried but evryone is different, dont believe all the hype or the horror stories, when i had mine done i was just left thinking thats it, what the hell is all the fuss about, believe me it really dosent hurt that much, but as i said everyone different, the only thing that annoyed me about is that mine is off center and that really annoys me because i pay $90 to have it done.

as far as the actual getting peirced part goes, i don't think the tongue is bad at all! but, then it swells up and that hurts. how much does it hurt? well, it depends on who you are. some people hardly swell up and don't stay swollen long; my tongue started to reduce in swelling after a week. i think it was about $80 to get it peirced (jewelry included).

Ok i am only 13 years old. K. i Just got my toung pierced like 30 min ago. Ok see now i am probably the most worst person with pain. I hate pain. I hate it i hate it i hate it i hate it. So all my friends call me a baby. So i disided to do something outragious. I went and got my toung pierced. First i washed my mouth out with listrene for 2 min. Then the piercer says to stick your toung out as far as you can then clamps it really tight. then he says take a big breath in and when he says to let it out he sticks the needle right through your toung. That was the best piercing ever. Cause i have piercings that nobody needs to know about. It didnt hurt at all. Now i wish that i could do it again. Trust me. DO IT!!!

My friends have it. And they said exactly what that person wrote. But I insist that you should take advil the next day so the pain wont hurt. But the swelling is really baddd.

I have my nose done. and it obviously hurt. but i think tongue will hurt WAY more. i found a piercing place where you can get any piercing done for 35$ but i wouldnt reccomend it.

i had my nose pierced and i got my tongue done and my nose hurt more than my tongue and my tongue piercing cost $50 and it all depnds on the person for pain. but i love both my piercings and havent had any problems as long as you clean it

i got my tongue pierced like three weeks ago, i was so nervous and i was shaking. i have my nose too and i felt like my nose hurt more than my tongue. mine cost $60.00. depends where you live on how much it cost.
