Does anyone care about the flood going on in Taiwan? I mean i actually see people crying for their family members on the chinese news.

Yea... i freaked when i first saw it cause my best friend is from Taiwan and a lot of her family are still over there. But they are all fine apparently. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have taken too much notice. There always seems to be some country where a natural disaster (or war or something) is ruining people's lives. You almost become immune to it all...

The irony in that is, America being the gigantic melting pot that it is, has over time, learned to shut out and ignore any other race or nationality of people when it isn't directly concerning their own race or nationality.
