An old fashioned, midevil knight suit.

A huge knight armour, complete with full head covering helmet. One of those with a visor, so you could laugh at the zombies through it as they attempt to mess you up.

I'd go with medieval knight armour, with modern warfare armour over the top, just in case. it may be a bit heavy, but I don't reckon any zombies getting through that ^_^

Cotton. Light and comfy so you don't itch and scratch and lose sleep and believe what your sleepless mind is telling you. Perhaps a little cocktail beforehand and a huge bar of exlax would help you think clearly.

Sleep naked with a helmet on. See what they will do then. You don't need clothing because they are after your brain. See?

It shouldn't matter what you wear to sleep. It's a matter of where you choose to sleep. If they get through your defenses, no amount of body armor will stop them...never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. I will be sleeping in my boxers just like always...but I will have my 10 foot tall electric fence outside my 11 foot concrete fence and all that will be around a mote with an angled spiked fence on my side facing out. There will be no doors or openings and I will have a helicopter to get around. If they get through all that stuff, I won't really have a chance anyhow so I might as well be comfy
